Central Bank Governor, Patrick Honahan, this afternoon will meet a delegation from the Ballyhea Bank Bailout Bondholder protest group, Independent TDs Stephen Donnelly and Peter Mathews, along with Independent MEPs Nessa Childers and Luke Ming Flanagan. The meeting will take place at 3.30pm and the delegation will discuss the promissory notes and bonds.

Next Saturday marks the 100 year anniversary of the Asgard landing of guns at the East Pier in Howth, acknowledged as a significant event in the run up to the Easter rising. Howth volunteers will organise an enactment of the Asgard landing at the East pier at the official commemoration on Sunday 27th July. Read More
